I joined the Juice Feasting website founded by David and Katrina Rainoshek, and found they've done a fine job in organizing their information and designing a juice feasting programs complete with videos, education and inspiration. They also have a "Green Room" which is like a juice feasting "Facebook" where people socialize. I am embarking on a 92 day juice feast. It seems like a REALLY long time and a bit daunting, but I'm gonna go for it!
Today I made 5 quarts of juice with my green star (but only drank 4). I made:
2 green juices consisting of whatever was in the fridge--celery, collard greens, fresh homegrown sprouts, cabbage, LOTS of mixed baby greens
2 "fruit punches" consisting of pineapple, plum, orange and apple. (We made exra of that for the kids, and they loved it.)
1 carrot sprout juice (Didn't drink this one yet.)
I ordered a Vitamix a few days ago, and it should be here sometime next week and that should make juicing
a little easier, although we'll probably alternate the green star. We also bought a nice jogging stroller today so I can take my 3 year old out for some more exercise and sun! I went to the Dekalb Farmer's market today and bought a bunch of organic produce to hopefully get me through the week. Recently we bought a second fridge as veggie back up, and I sure needed it today. I also went to the healthfood store and stocked up on some things. This is getting expensive--but exciting and I know it's all worth it. Good night.
